Description

This violin came from a large collection of vintage violins in Millheim, Centre County, PA.  Most of the violins in this collection had been bought decades ago by a local fiddler and collector who intended to restore them but didn’t.  This violin has been restored by fitting new boxwood pegs, new tailpiece with fine-tuners, new chinrest, new bridge, student-grade strings.  The body is in very good condition and all of the glued joints are intact.  It has been set up for best attainable sound and playability.  This Stradivarius copy violin was likely made in the mid-1900’s and has the label “Universal Favorite”.  It is suitable for use as a student instrument or as a travel instrument.  It comes with a newly-rehaired bow and a used violin case.  Fair market value for the violin, bow, and case is between $175 and $250.
